Winter - Cleaning the lang

Been using my lang regularly this winter, but the biggest issue I face is keeping it clean. Can't use a hose in the winter to spray it down.

Anyone have any tips or is it a bucket of water and do your best kind of thing ?

Wire brush the grates. Scrape it down the drip plate and run it as hot as you can get it.

Kevin I use a pump sprayer in the winter and when I am on the road like this one, I got this link to the Plover store, I got mine at Menards.  Cheap and works great.

I got one I use for pesticides...thought about it, but I doubted it had enough spray power....but I'll give it a try.

Thanks Gary.

I use a sump pump in a 5 gallon bucket with a short hose and spray nozzle. Put in 1-2 gallons warm/hot water, puts out a decent spray and volumn..works great.

No it's an AC 115v sump pump like the one you would use for a wet basement 1/3 hp
