Transporting Wood State to State (TX-GA)Living in metro Atlanta I have a great source for Hickory, Red/White Oak, Pecan, Apple, and Cherry wood. Iím planning a trip to Austin, TX in the fall and was planning on hauling a cord and a half of Post Oak back to GA. Someone who camps frequently mentioned this could be a problem due regulations that prevent the spread of pests within the state.
I checked the web and The Georgia Forestry Commission and Georgia State Parks had some information. Iím not interested in breaking the law and Iím not runniní moonshire. Does anyone here have an experience or suggestions? (and if you're going to tell me to stick with locally sourced wood...i already get that idea.)
