Smoking a brisket on a Lang

I am looking at possibly purchasing a Lang. My biggest concern about the Lang is whether or not I will get a good bark on briskets. I cook a lot of briskets and it is impotant to have a good bark.

Thanks for your reply. The reason I asked is that I read a remark by someone that they were disappointed with the Lang smoker. I did not know if the reverse flow had an impact or not. What size Lang do you use?

I have a 48, last weekend I did a brisket, corned beef, 6 butts 2 racks of ribs and 2 chickens and didn't even need the top shelf, all came out great.

All depends on how you do it. If you cook all the way thru without wrapping you'll have a nice bark. If you wrap it at 165, unwrap at 195 - 200 then put it back in till 205 you still get a good bark. If you don't unwrap it it still comes out nice and tender but it's lacks the bark. This is what I've found, not claiming to be an expert. I've only had my Lang for 4 months but between reading and experimenting the food keeps coming out really good.
