Cold Smoke

Has anyone out there tried cold smoking on their Lang?  I was interested in trying to cold smoke some Cheddar Cheese.  Smile

This is off your subject of cold smoke but I noticed you are in San Jose. Did you just receive your cooker this past week? Mine was the 48 hybrid deluxe on the front of the truck if so. I am up in Fairfield. Did you notice any flaws in your smoker? Mine had a couple holes in the firebox bottom and the damper from the cooker to the warming cab was way small and looked horrible. Tried emailing Lang a couple times with pics and no response. I was just wondering if this is standard practice for Lang or I just got a smoker with some poor quality in a few areas. Thing looks great and built like a brick sh*t house but a lot of $ spent. I have cold smoked on my other units and thinking about it for Sat.

No, I have had mine for about 18 months now.  I would just call them and ask to talk to Ben and tell him you would like to send some pictures of the damage.
