Just wondering how wide the Chargriller is on the 36 patio hybrid model. I have seen 30 inches, but I saw on the 48 hybrid that the Chargrill was only 24 inches. That doesn't seem to make sense. Thanks.
I just measured mine and it is 24 inches wide with the grates at around 21 inches wide and a little over 18 inches deep. All of the measurements were taken at the lowest grill grate or around the center of the grill. Hope this helps. I can also say that the grill portion of the smoker cooks great also, sometimes I wish it were a little wider which would make for better indirect cooking but it does pretty good with 4 large ribeyes cooked with the reverse sear method, I could probably put a couple more on there also but 4 is usually all I cook at one time. This gives you about the same amount of room as you would have on a 22 or a 24 inch Weber.
The smoker cooking chamber is around 30 inches in usable width with the other 6 inches taken up with the outlet for the smoke and 18 deep on the bottom grill grate that sits above the griddle in the bottom and the top grate is around 20 inches wide and the same depth and it slides in and out. I guess you really have to see how it is designed to really get an idea of what I am talking about. I hope this helps.
