I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one!  Got it on cart with damper on top of firebox.  Gonna be 4-6 weeks for delivery and was told they start build in 2 weeks.  Having it shipped to Northern Va area for 400.00.  Gas and lodging would be that so its a no brainer.  Gonna smoke some butts and ribs when I get it!  Anyone use the grill side and how is it compared to a small Weber etc? Curious on what guys think of the grill portion and the warming box.  I plan on cooking in the warmer as well on large cooks since I have the damper in top of firebox.

How much was the wagon wheel addition? I wish I'd have known that was available. My property is all gravel and it's almost impossible to move my unit. I wonder how difficult it would be for me to modify my unit?

Congrats on the new lang order! Your gonna love it, i ordered another Lang 36" patio on the 11th of june, and Ben just told me today it will be delivered Friday the 3rd right in time for the 4th of july lol,  this is my second one ive ordered, i got one back in 2012 but fell on really hard times this past December and i had to break down and sell it, i was really hurt that i had to sell it too, I LOVED MY LANG! I pulled off nothing but awesome meat every smoke, and i didnt even know how to smoke anything before i got one, I just jumped right in using a lang lol, and im glad i did. The good lord has blessed me and brought me through my tough times and allowed me to have the money to get me another one Smile. & Ben is a really stand up guy, because when i ordered this one i asked him if he thinks he can try to have mines made and delivered to me by the 4th, and he told me he was really gonna try to make it happen and he did! I will never smoke on anything else but a Lang! Smile

Nope, the addition has an axel that rotates. I could not get a trailer model, which I would have liked, into my back yard.

I think this will be an easy fix. An axel & 2 tires from Harbor Freight will do the job. I'm tired of using plywood sheets to move it around (like they used to move stome blocks in the early days).

The wagon wheel cart is the same one that is on the 48 hybrid model, with four tires and rims, not the pneumatic kind but actual tires.  The upgrade for the cart was 500.00 but I see it being worth it if I want to roll it on a trailer and do competitions etc, or even just moving it around since it weighs a little over 800 pounds.  The one thing I am glad I got also is the dampers in the top of the firebox for the warming box so I can cook in it also.  I figure I can get 2 more butts in the box if I ever needed to do a really big cook.  I figure I can get 4-5 on the bottom rack of main cooker and probably 2-3 more on second shelf plus 2 in warmer, that's between 8-10 total.  That will work!

UPDATE:  I had a brainiac idea and called LANG to see if they can modify my 36 hybrid on wagon wheel cart.  I asked them if I can have the 36 inch smoker section stretched to 42 inches and reduce the 30 inch grill portion to 24 inches.  This keeps the overall dimensions the same as far as total length etc but gives me 6 more inches of smoker.  I just felt that I really did not need a 30 inch grill section with having two shelves.  I figure the two shelves will accommodate whatever I need to grill  most of the time with giving me more room in the smoker section.  LANG told me that they may have to put an 18 inch firebox on it instead of the 17 but they wanted to test it first to make sure it would provide enough heat even though its only stretching the smoker section 6 inches.  I will update when I hear back!  Soooo damn excited I cant wait to get it!!!!!

Well its here and an awesome machine.  seasoned it and got warming box to almost 500 degrees due to dampers in top of fire box.  Wagon wheel cart definitely the way to go on this unit as its heavy as hell!  Weighs in around 1100-1200 pounds delivery guy told me.   Click on pics below:

Biskitman: Did Lang make the mod you asked for and enlarge the fire box?

Nice looking unit and I agree the wagon wheels are the way to go.

Also, nice looking Corvette you have!!
