Has anyone  ever used dry corn cobs to smoke with, either used as the
only source of heat and smoke, or added to your favorite wood?

A friend of mine in Las Cruces, NM has a smoker, which I had never heard of, called a Corn Glo Pellet & Corn Grill, which uses corn pellets. He feels it produces a great product -- I think the meat comes out  too sweet for my taste. He gave me a small bag of the pellets to try as chips or chunks but I prefer the hardwoods. I don't think I'd use it as my only heat source.  I know I haven't helped much but maybe give it a try as your only heat source and on the next cook  as chunk and see what you think.
